Private Client Tax Manager

About the role

This position offers a technically challenging, advisory‑led role within a growing accountancy practice. Based in Eastbourne, you will work closely with senior tax leadership to deepen your expertise and influence the firm’s private client offering.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior tax leaders with technical research and written advice for private clients.
• Advise on a broad range of UK private client tax matters, including planning opportunities.
• Act as the technical point of reference for partners and managers on private client tax queries.
• Manage and review Self Assessment tax returns for a varied client portfolio.
• Contribute to proactive advisory projects and technical updates for colleagues and clients.
• Support specialist work, including exposure to US personal tax, with training provided.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislative changes and share knowledge across the team.

Required profile

• Strong experience in private client tax within an accountancy practice.
• ATT and/or CTA qualification preferred, though experience‑based candidates will be considered.
• Interest in advisory work alongside high‑quality compliance.
• Collaborative, team‑focused approach.
