Professional Indemnity Underwriter – Manchester (Hybrid)

About the role

This position offers a technically focused underwriting role specialising in Professional Indemnity (PI) within a modern specialist MGA. Working from a hybrid base in Manchester, you will evaluate new business submissions received through an e‑trade platform and make informed risk decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite new Professional Indemnity business submitted via the e‑trade system.
• Ensure policies are set up efficiently and accurately.
• Provide timely decisions and support to brokers.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to maintain portfolio quality.
• Deliver a high standard of service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in Professional Indemnity underwriting, preferably within an MGA, insurer or brokerage.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and policy wording.
• Proactive approach to handling new business submissions.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of e‑trade platforms for underwriting.
• Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments.
• Familiarity with Professional Indemnity policy wording.
