Psychology Teacher (A Level) – Full‑time, Temp to Perm

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Psychology teacher to deliver A‑Level and lower‑ability lessons across schools in the Maidstone area. This full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent position offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a thriving department.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Psychology across the ability range, including A‑Level.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, well‑structured lessons.
• Inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of psychological theory, research and real‑world applications.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and ambitious learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Psychology, ideally at A‑Level.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Psychology.
• Commitment to achieving high standards for every student.
• Ability to create engaging lessons that encourage curiosity and critical thinking.
• Effective communicator and collaborative colleague.
• Holder or applicant for an Enhanced DBS disclosure (and any required overseas clearances).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
