Qualified Part‑time Tutors for Maths, English & Science

About the role
Randstad Student Support is partnering with local authorities to provide additional one‑to‑one tutoring for pupils with learning difficulties. The role focuses on delivering personalised support in Maths, English and Science for primary and secondary students, either online or face‑to‑face.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons that match each pupil’s learning style.
- Assess progress, identify gaps and record attainment using the internal reporting system.
- Provide homework help, test preparation and project guidance.
- Collaborate with schools, foster carers and social workers to ensure coordinated support.
- Adhere to safeguarding guidelines and KCSIE standards.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or PGCE.
- DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience tutoring or supporting pupils with SEN, undiagnosed needs, disengagement or looked‑after status.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage your own timetable.
Required skills
- Competent IT skills and access to a laptop or computer for online delivery.
