Quality Engineer – Defence Infrastructure Project

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support a major defence infrastructure project in Reading. This is a 10‑month contract position offering a competitive hourly rate and requiring UK Security Clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and accept procedures and documentation in line with QC1 requirements.
• Carry out quality control inspections according to approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Continuously review and finalize Lifetime Records (LTRs).
• Witness tests and conduct on‑site inspections.
• Participate in project and quality meetings as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a quality‑related role on a major infrastructure project.
• Strong civil engineering background.
• Experience conducting on‑site inspections against detailed designs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
