Quantity Surveyor – Hybrid, Hull

About the role

Provide Quantity Surveying support across a range of utilities and infrastructure projects from our Humber office, ensuring robust cost management, contract administration and commercial governance. You will work closely with Commercial and Project Management teams to deliver effective contract management and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Support cost estimation, budgeting and forecasting for diverse projects.
• Administer NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts, handling change control, payment applications and final accounts.
• Maintain the contract Risk Register, attend risk reduction meetings and manage Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
• Monitor and report project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons‑learned in cost and contract management.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent commercial experience.
• Previous Quantity Surveying or commercial contract management experience.
• Working knowledge of construction contracts, preferably NEC suite.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience using CEMAR.
• Experience using FastDraft or similar digital contract tools.
• Familiarity with Digital Beehive platform.
