Quantity Surveyor – Planned Maintenance & Retrofit

About the role

We are partnering with a leading social‑housing contractor to hire an experienced Quantity Surveyor based in Runcorn. The role focuses on delivering planned maintenance and decarbonisation projects across the housing portfolio, ensuring commercial efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Control all project expenditure and reconcile cost/value reports.
• On‑board subcontractors and suppliers, managing procurement and cost assessments.
• Process subcontractor payment applications and invoices.
• Monitor day‑to‑day cost control, cash flow and profit forecasts.
• Attend project and company meetings, providing financial updates.
• Maintain and develop professional relationships with clients and customers.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent technical qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience with a main contractor on social‑housing refurbishment programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness and proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of supply‑chain management and contractual processes.
• RICS or CIOB qualification is preferred.
