About the role
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term position covering maternity leave for a Reception class at Church Gresley Infant and Nursery School. The role starts in September 2026 and is full‑time (32.5 hours per week) within the John Taylor Multi Academy Trust.
Key responsibilities
- Create a vibrant, language‑rich classroom environment where all children can thrive.
- Implement strong, consistent, and positive behaviour strategies.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with parents and carers.
- Uphold the school’s vision of happy, confident, compassionate, and inspired learners.
- Collaborate positively with the teaching team and contribute to school life.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) – applications from ECTs are welcome.
- Proven experience of working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive team attitude.
- Commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
