SAP BTP Developer

About the role

The SAP BTP Developer will design, develop and support cloud‑based integrations, extensions and applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This position is a key part of the client’s SAP modernisation journey, helping to move to SAP Rise and Integration Suite while leveraging clean‑core extensibility.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and functional specifications to create robust BTP solutions.
• Design, build and maintain integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) covering REST, SOAP, SFTP, JDBC and event‑driven patterns.
• Develop side‑by‑side extensions and cloud applications on BTP using CAP/RAP, Node.js, Java and SAP Business Application Studio.
• Build and enhance SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, ensuring a superior user experience and adherence to clean‑core principles.
• Configure secure connectivity via Cloud Connector, destinations, certificates and OAuth authentication.
• Collaborate with functional consultants supporting Finance, HR and master‑data processes.
• Support migration of integrations from legacy platforms to BTP.
• Produce technical documentation, conduct code reviews, unit testing and debugging.
• Assist with testing, deployment, post‑go‑live support and effort estimation.

Required profile

• Strong experience developing on SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Hands‑on expertise with SAP Integration Suite and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proven ability to build cloud applications using CAP and/or RAP.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development and clean‑core extensibility.
• Solid problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
