Scheme Transition Consultant – Up to £90k (Hybrid)

About the role

This position sits within a leading insurer’s Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) business, offering an experienced DB pensions professional the chance to move from consultancy to an in‑house provider role. You will own the end‑to‑end transition of bulk annuity transactions, ensuring a seamless experience for trustees and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the onboarding and transition process for new bulk annuity business from appointment to settlement.
• Act as the primary point of contact for your portfolio, attending beauty parades, running transition meetings and handling client queries.
• Oversee data migration, payroll funding setups and data‑cleanse activities.
• Calculate scheme benefits in line with regulatory rules and hand over to actuarial and finance teams.
• Establish client controls, complete regulatory checks and maintain a robust audit trail.
• Identify and drive process improvements throughout the transition lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of defined benefit (DB) pensions and DB administration, with focus on risk‑transfer and bulk annuity markets.
• Proven experience on large‑scale pensions implementations, data‑cleanse projects or similar.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work under pressure.
