School Business Manager – Nursery School (Lambeth)

About the role
The Nursery School in Lambeth is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team. This full‑time, term‑time position starts in September and will help drive the school’s vision and growth.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a large financial budget, HR functions and support staff.
- Oversee premises, health & safety, IT, and catering provision.
- Prepare and present reports to the Headteacher, Governors and Local Authority.
- Lead, coach and develop staff, handling performance issues as needed.
- Coordinate multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a School Business Manager.
- CSBM or DSBM qualification.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication abilities.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Required skills
- Proficiency with IT and administrative systems.
- Excellent organisational and project‑management skills.
