SecOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive SecOps Engineer to join our client’s London team. The role involves managing data‑centre and cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on information security.

Key responsibilities

• Hardening systems through configuration, scripting and scanning.
• Managing vulnerability remediation and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Enforcing data security and implementing backup/archival solutions across cloud and on‑premise resources.
• Extending internal OSS tools, primarily written in Go or Python.
• Strengthening network security and managing routers, firewalls and other critical network components.
• Implementing an asset‑management solution.
• Staying up‑to‑date with emerging threats, attack techniques and security best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security operations or infrastructure security.
• Knowledge of storage systems and trading/risk platforms.
• Experience managing routers, firewalls and critical network devices.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Jira or Git.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with IaC scripting (e.g., Terraform) and file‑system concepts.
