Semi Senior Accountant – Audit, Accounts & Tax

Key responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts and supporting a varied client portfolio.
• Working across audit assignments both in the office and at client sites.
• Reviewing work and maintaining high technical standards.
• Building strong relationships with clients.
• Supporting and mentoring trainees.
• Managing own workload and deadlines.
• Using systems including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Excel.
• Developing commercial and advisory skills through broad client exposure.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA or ICAEW with professional stage exams completed.
• Recent experience within UK practice covering accounts, audit, bookkeeping and tax.
• Good understanding of current compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded with ability to take ownership.
• Ambition to qualify and progress into senior positions.
