SEN Class Teacher (ASD) – Full‑time role in Slough

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our specialist school in Slough. The role starts in September and is a full‑time, long‑term position focused on delivering high‑quality, personalised education for pupils aged 5‑16.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD.
• Maintain small class sizes supported by teaching assistants to ensure a structured learning environment.
• Implement and monitor EHCP targets, using visual timetables and communication aids.
• Manage behaviour effectively, applying proven strategies to promote positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior staff to contribute to the school’s inclusive ethos and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching students with Autism (ASD) in a specialist setting.
• Strong behaviour management and differentiated teaching skills.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
• Previous SEN teaching experience is essential.
• Availability to start in September and commit to a full‑time, long‑term role.
