SEN Cover Supervisor – Specialist School (Bristol)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Cover Supervisor to support a specialist school in Bristol. You will step in during teacher absences, delivering pre‑planned lessons and providing pastoral care for pupils with autism, SEMH and other additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons and learning activities in the teacher's absence.
• Support pupils with autism, SEMH and other learning difficulties.
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Provide pastoral and emotional support as required.
• Maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff to meet individual pupil needs.

Required profile

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Confident group management and ability to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable.
• Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable).
