About the role
You will join a warm, supportive mainstream primary school in Birmingham, working within an established SEND resource base to provide high‑quality, inclusive education for pupils with additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to a variety of SEND needs.
- Create structured routines and provide targeted support alongside support staff.
- Contribute to EHCP targets and monitor pupil progress.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and carers.
- Collaborate with the wider SEND team and external professionals.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching within a SEND resource base or specialist provision.
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies, differentiation and personalised learning.
- Confident behaviour management with a nurturing, patient approach.
- Ability to work effectively with support staff, external professionals and families.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- Flexibility, resilience and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
