SEN Teacher – Specialist School (London)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate SEN Teacher to join a well‑resourced specialist school serving students aged 4‑19 with a range of learning differences. You will lead a small class of eight pupils aged 12‑15, delivering a personalised curriculum in a highly structured, multi‑sensory environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a class of eight students (V2‑V4) with autism, global developmental delay and related conditions.
- Deliver core subjects using creative, multi‑sensory and practical approaches.
- Support communication development through PECS, AAC devices, visual timetables and sensory stories.
- Promote emotional regulation, life‑skills development and independent learning.
- Collaborate with on‑site therapists and a multidisciplinary team to tailor interventions.
Required profile
- Qualified SEN teacher (QTS or QTLS) with experience or strong interest in autism and complex learning needs.
- Proactive, flexible and passionate about inclusive education.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a nurturing and resilient attitude.
Required skills
- PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
- AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
