Senior Accountant – 3-month temporary role in London

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a 3‑month temporary assignment with a global financial‑software leader in central London. The role follows a hybrid model (three days in the office) and offers a day rate of up to £405.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end month‑end close, including complex journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and P&L trend analysis.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors, handling queries and preparing US GAAP to local GAAP statutory bridges.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis and deliver quarterly balance‑sheet commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with International Shared Services, FP&A, Corporate Tax and Governance teams to ensure financial integrity.
• Support transfer‑pricing processes, statutory financial statement preparation and corporate/indirect tax filings.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience in an in‑house finance function.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS/Local GAAP, with hands‑on month‑end close expertise.
• Proficiency in Oracle Financials and BlackLine for reconciliations and journal entries.
• Outgoing, proactive communicator comfortable presenting to senior executives.
