Senior Accounts Manager – Accounting & Tax Advisory

About the role

This senior position sits at the heart of a fast‑growing accountancy practice in London. You will act as the primary adviser for a portfolio of service‑sector clients, delivering high‑quality accounting, tax and business advisory services while supporting the firm’s ambition to break into the top 100 within five years.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a substantial portfolio of service‑sector clients, acting as their main point of contact.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Provide expert tax planning, advisory and structuring services, including SEIS and EIS applications.
• Advise on business structures, tax‑efficient arrangements and corporate reorganisations.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members and managers.
• Monitor workflow, resource allocation and quality control across engagements.
• Identify opportunities to add value and support business‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• ACCA, ACA or CTA qualified.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong portfolio management experience with service‑sector clients.
• Deep technical knowledge of accounting and tax, including SEIS/EIS compliance.
• Proven experience in tax advisory and structuring.
