Senior Civil Engineer - Roads & Drainage

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with specialist knowledge in roads and drainage to lead the delivery of complex, high‑impact infrastructure projects for commercial, residential and mixed‑use developments in London.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, producing specifications, drawings and contract documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with UK and international standards, integrating SuDS, highway design and below‑ground infrastructure.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers and MEP teams to coordinate multidisciplinary solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage project budgets, change control processes and programme accuracy to meet client expectations.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in civil and structural design, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Degree level qualification (BSc/BEng or HND/HNC) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Professional membership such as MCIBSE or MIET is preferred; chartered status or progress towards chartership is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with NES (Network Engineering Software).
• Ability to use Cymap for civil design.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office suite.
