Senior Commercial Claims Handler – Up to £40k

About the role

Join a leading insurance firm near Leeds as a Senior Commercial Claims Handler. You will own a diverse portfolio of commercial claims across Motor/Fleet, Property and Liability, working in a supportive hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial claims from initial notification through to settlement.
• Provide professional advice and maintain high service standards.
• Negotiate with clients, insurers and third parties to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Authorise claim payments within delegated authority.
• Maintain accurate records and a robust diary system.
• Contribute to management information on claims trends and issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience handling a diverse range of insurance claims.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Comfortable working with IT systems, particularly Excel.
• Well‑organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Brokerage background preferred; familiarity with scheme claims, binder procedures, PI, D&O or Cyber claims is a bonus.
