Senior Cyber Security Consultant – Defence

About the role

Actica is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to support Defence, national security and critical infrastructure programmes. You will work on complex MOD acquisition projects, helping clients embed Secure by Design principles and manage cyber risk throughout the system lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cyber security and Secure by Design expertise to Defence acquisition and digital transformation programmes.
• Conduct cyber risk assessments and security risk analysis for systems handling sensitive or classified information.
• Advise risk owners and technical stakeholders on threats, vulnerabilities and risk treatment strategies.
• Develop and maintain security assurance artefacts in line with Defence and government frameworks.
• Support security accreditation, testing and governance activities across the system development and operational lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering cyber security, information assurance or technical consulting in complex environments.
• Strong ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Excellent report writing, documentation and presentation skills.
• Willingness to obtain UK Government Security Clearance.
