Senior Engineer - Structures

About the role

Robert Bird Group is seeking a Senior Engineer – Structures to lead detailed structural design across a diverse portfolio of commercial, mixed‑use and data‑centre projects. You will own the design process, ensure alignment with project programmes and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client liaison and support business development activities.
• Coordinate project delivery, allocate resources and manage design documentation.
• Develop engineering solutions and define the design philosophy for each project.
• Produce preliminary and detailed designs for both temporary and permanent works.
• Carry out design checking and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience in structural engineering, preferably on commercial, mixed‑use or data‑centre projects.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage client relationships.
• Strong understanding of project programmes and integration with other disciplines.
