Senior Manager - Office of the CFO

About the role

This senior position sits within the Office of the CFO at a fast‑growing professional services firm. You will act as a trusted adviser to a portfolio of mid‑market and owner‑managed businesses, delivering finance leadership, client advisory and operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of finance services for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and budget compliance.
• Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships, providing commercial finance insight and recommendations.
• Oversee preparation and review of management accounts and statutory reporting.
• Manage one‑off finance projects such as system implementations, process improvements and control reviews.
• Support finance transformation programmes and financial remediation exercises.
• Mentor and develop finance team members, determining resource needs and ensuring high‑quality client experience.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in practice, industry or outsourced finance environments.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven track record of managing client relationships and leading teams.
• Experience delivering finance projects and driving process improvements.
• Ability to translate financial data into practical commercial recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
