Senior Portfolio Accountant

About the role

Rendall & Rittner are seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant to take full ownership of a portfolio of residential developments. You will deliver audit‑ready accounts, act as the primary financial contact for clients and property managers, and support the growth of junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end service charge accounts, including adjustments and reallocations.
• Produce profit & loss, balance sheet and supporting reports for audit.
• Lead the audit process, liaising directly with external auditors and stakeholders.
• Review and approve draft accounts with property managers and client boards.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and service charge demands.
• Respond to financial queries from clients and leaseholders.
• Monitor cash flow, creditors and overall financial performance.
• Support new client onboarding and system set‑up.
• Provide guidance, oversight and mentoring to junior accountants.

Required profile

• Proven experience in residential or service charge accounting.
• Confidence in managing audits, reporting and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
• Ability to balance accuracy, deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality standards.
