Senior Principal Product Manager Technical

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager Technical to join the Architecture function of the RTP International (VIL) programme. You will help shape a robust, secure and resilient real‑time payments service that supports six economies and processes roughly 20 billion transactions per year.

Key responsibilities

• Articulate RTP product resiliency features to clients and internal stakeholders, covering availability testing, Failure Mode Event Analysis and CNI credentials.
• Define strategies for modernising payment‑message channels, balancing legacy formats with API‑based ISO 20022 solutions.
• Leverage deep knowledge of payment processing, settlement and liquidity management to guide technical service design.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify future needs and drive global business growth.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in payments or real‑time payment systems.
• Strong understanding of critical national infrastructure (CNI) requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for client‑facing and cross‑functional discussions.
• Ability to lead a high‑performing, newly formed team.
