Senior Product Manager – AML Transaction Monitoring

About the role

Join Checkout.com’s Financial Crime product team to lead the AML transaction‑monitoring product. You will shape the technology that detects suspicious activity across billions of payments while enabling investigators to focus on the most critical risks.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, roadmap and outcomes for AML transaction monitoring.
• Lead the full lifecycle of monitoring controls from risk hypothesis, design, testing, calibration, deployment to ongoing performance management.
• Apply rules, analytics, machine learning and LLM‑based techniques to improve detection quality and reduce false positives.
• Enhance case‑management and decision‑support tools used by investigation teams.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Operations and Compliance to balance regulatory, operational and customer considerations.
• Scale the platform to support new products, markets and customer segments.

Required profile

• Proven product management experience in fast‑moving, data‑driven or risk products, preferably in fintech or payments.
• Strong grasp of risk, false positives and operational monitoring workflows.
• Resilience and influence to drive constructive change in ambiguous or imperfect processes.
• Excellent communication skills to simplify complex concepts for engineering, compliance, operations and commercial audiences.
