Senior Survey Instructor

About the role

The Senior Survey Instructor is responsible for designing, delivering and maintaining survey training programmes across entry‑level to advanced levels. Working closely with the Chief Surveyor and Technical Solutions teams, the role ensures that curriculum content stays current with industry standards and supports both classroom and on‑site vessel training.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously revise survey course curricula for learners at all levels.
• Research, collaborate with subject‑matter experts and author technical and user manuals.
• Deliver classroom courses, workshops and computer‑based training sessions, and conduct vessel visits for hands‑on system checks.
• Manage classroom supplies, equipment rentals and maintain a shared training calendar to optimise training opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in instructional design or training delivery.
• Strong research, writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and travel internationally for training.
• Valid driver’s licence and eligibility for security clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with learning management systems.
• Experience using e‑learning authoring tools.
