Senior Surveyor (Offshore Marine Works)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Surveyor to support offshore marine operations in Aberdeen, collaborating with clients, crew members and project managers to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist new and fellow employees in performing work according to safe procedures.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, crew members and project managers.
• Conduct and document daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety pre‑tower meetings.
• Oversee offshore operations including personnel, daily progress and asset utilization.
• Manage specific job tasks as requested by client or project manager and report unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years experience as a Surveyor II in marine construction/survey & positioning.
• Valid driver’s license with a suitable driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with major survey equipment manufacturer software.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GPS equipment.
• Experience using navigation software.
• Knowledge of USBL (Ultra‑Short Baseline) systems.
• Operation of scanning sonar equipment.
• Use of major survey equipment manufacturer’s software.
