Service Charge Accountant (Hybrid, Exeter)

About the role

This hands‑on position is ideal for a proactive, detail‑focused finance professional with experience in service charge or property finance. You will manage financial records across multiple property portfolios, support the onboarding of new properties and ensure accurate reporting while working closely with the wider finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the onboarding of new managed properties, ensuring accurate financial setup.
• Maintain purchase and sales ledgers, including invoice processing, coding and payments.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Handle service charge queries, manage credit control and support audit and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in service charge accounting or property finance (preferred).
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with QuickBooks or Blocks Online is advantageous.
• Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification, or part‑qualified CIMA/ACCA.
