Shift Manufacturing Manager – FMCG

About the role

The Shift Manufacturing Manager will lead a fast‑paced FMCG production site in Carlisle, overseeing automated lines, cooling systems and large‑scale cooking equipment. You will ensure that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shift operations to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
• Maintain and continuously improve product quality and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of production staff across multiple shifts.
• Monitor process performance, analyse production data and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and logistics to ensure smooth workflow and on‑time delivery.
• Prepare regular performance reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing production in the FMCG sector.
• Strong leadership with the ability to drive team performance.
• In‑depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data and deliver operational improvements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
