Software Engineering Manager

About the role

CoMind is building a non‑invasive neuromonitoring platform for clinical brain monitoring. As Software Engineering Manager you will lead a multidisciplinary software team that spans embedded C++, real‑time processing, GUI, and DevOps, delivering regulated medical device software from prototype to production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers working on embedded C++/CUDA, GUI, and embedded Linux, setting priorities and development plans.
• Own the technical roadmap for the product software stack, aligning with product and system requirements.
• Lead design and architecture reviews, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with medical device standards.
• Drive software from prototype through production release, coordinating with FPGA, electronics, optical, and clinical teams.
• Maintain IEC 62304, IEC 60601‑1, and ISO 14971 compliance, handling documentation and traceability.
• Partner with DevOps and Test managers on CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and quality gates.
• Support system integration, hardware bring‑up, and on‑target performance validation.
• Manage external partners and contractors to ensure effective execution.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management or lead role.
• Proven track record of building and scaling high‑performing software teams.
• Hands‑on experience in embedded and real‑time software development on Linux.
• Background developing software for medical devices or other regulated industries.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with hardware, electronics, and clinical teams.
