Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

About the role
We are partnering with a progressive specialist school in Bristol that supports pupils with autism, SEMH, moderate and severe learning difficulties, and communication needs. The school seeks a dedicated SEN Teacher to plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet each pupil’s EHCP targets.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with individual EHCP goals.
- Support pupils with autism, SEMH and a range of additional needs.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies as required.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral staff and families.
- Promote emotional wellbeing and positive relationships.
- Create an engaging, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to annual reviews, assessments and development plans.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Flexibility, resilience and commitment to inclusive education.
