Strategic Finance Associate

About the role

Plum is looking for a Strategic Finance Associate to join its Finance team. You will work closely with Product, Marketing and Growth teams to ensure the business remains financially healthy and ready for scale.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product and growth teams to prioritize initiatives based on financial impact.
• Evaluate economics, pricing and unit economics for new projects.
• Build, maintain and own complex financial models, including scenario and ad‑hoc analysis.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate analysis and insight generation.
• Develop frameworks to monitor revenue, costs and margins.
• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted strategic partner.
• Support fundraising, investor relations and board reporting.
• Drive automation and AI adoption across finance processes.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting or high‑growth startups.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to turn data into actionable insight.
• Detail‑oriented problem‑solver who takes ownership of work.
• Comfortable influencing senior leaders and presenting complex financial data clearly.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Complex financial modeling.
• Experience using AI agents for analysis and process improvement.
