Supply Teaching Assistant – Flexible Daily Rates

About the role

Academics is seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to support a variety of primary, secondary and specialist SEN schools throughout Aylesbury. The position offers daily supply work with the possibility of long‑term assignments, flexible Monday‑Friday hours during term time, and a competitive daily rate of £95‑£105. It is ideal for experienced teaching assistants, recent graduates interested in education, or individuals from care and early‑years backgrounds. Academics acts as an employment agency for this vacancy.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils individually and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.
• Help children with additional needs to access learning.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Experience in education, care, youth work, early years or support work is welcomed.
• Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
