Systems Engineer II – Fleet Management (Corporate Infrastructure)

About the role

Amazon Corporate Infrastructure Services (CIS) is seeking a Systems Engineer II to lead fleet management and operational excellence for our global corporate office infrastructure. You will own the health, compliance, and lifecycle of device estates, ensuring accurate inventory, governance, and reliable operation across a worldwide footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational health and compliance of infrastructure fleets, tracking inventory and lifecycle status.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, and cloud issues, driving root‑cause resolution.
• Design and implement automation for device discovery, compliance scanning, firmware tracking, health monitoring, and lifecycle reporting.
• Create, review, and improve SOPs, runbooks, and documentation for consistent global operations.
• Identify performance, reliability, or compliance patterns and deliver scalable automation solutions.
• Lead operational‑excellence initiatives that measurably improve fleet health and efficiency.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated professional who works autonomously and takes ownership of cross‑domain problems.
• Broad technical knowledge across operating systems, networking, compute hardware, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.
• Experience building production‑grade automation using AWS services and scripting languages.
