Tax Senior Manager – London Bridge

About the role

Clark Wood is partnering with a fast‑growing London accountancy practice to recruit a Tax Senior Manager. Reporting directly to the founders, you will shape the tax offering, lead a growing team and follow a clear path to Head of Tax, Salaried Partner and Equity Partner.

Key responsibilities

• Advise SME owners on corporate, personal and partnership tax matters.
• Lead complex tax planning, restructuring, succession and exit projects.
• Provide guidance on EMI, EIS, SEIS and employee‑share schemes.
• Manage and respond to HMRC enquiries.
• Support the accounts team on intricate tax issues.
• Develop new tax advisory work and nurture client and referrer relationships.
• Recruit, mentor and expand the tax department.
• Contribute to the firm’s strategic direction alongside the founders.

Required profile

• CTA qualified with solid post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of SME/owner‑managed business taxation.
• Proven ability to advise business owners directly.
• Experience in both compliance and advisory work.
• Commercially minded with a drive for business development.

What we offer

• £70,000‑£90,000 base salary plus commission on new fees.
• 15% commission on first‑year fees from newly generated tax work.
