Teaching Assistant – Primary & SEN Support

About the role

This full‑time teaching assistant position starts in September at an OFSTED ‘Good’ primary school in Wandsworth. You will work within a mainstream classroom, supporting both early years pupils and those with special educational needs (SEN) in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with children aged 2‑6 in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Support child‑initiated learning activities.
• Assist SEN pupils to access the curriculum.
• Engage with students across three daily sessions.
• Treat every child with respect, kindness, and encouragement.

Required profile

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Genuine interest in working with children, especially those with SEN.
• Previous experience in childcare (formal or informal).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Desirable: an honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent.
