About the role
We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support Year 7‑11 students at William Perkin CE High School. This salaried, term‑time position offers valuable experience for graduates aspiring to become teachers, with the possibility of progressing to teacher training through Teach West London.
Key responsibilities
- Provide targeted support for pupils with Statements of Special Educational Need.
- Take lead responsibility for students facing learning and behavioural challenges.
- Assist classroom teachers across KS3 and KS4 settings.
- Collaborate with the Teach West London partnership to explore teacher‑training pathways.
Required profile
- A sensible, flexible attitude with a reflective approach to problem‑solving.
- Understanding of how secondary‑age students learn and think.
- Strong organisational abilities, energy and enthusiasm.
- Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and inclusive values.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills are required; a willingness to learn and support students is essential.
