Technical Sales Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join a leading precision‑machining manufacturer. The role combines account management and business development, selling high‑value instrumentation to medical, aerospace and automotive customers. You will work remotely Monday‑Friday, with occasional site visits across the Midlands.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients in the precision engineering sector.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across medical, aerospace and automotive markets.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations of instrumentation equipment.
• Prepare and negotiate quotations, contracts and service agreements.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure solutions meet customer specifications.
• Manage sales pipeline and achieve OTE through commission.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience within precision engineering, metrology or scientific equipment.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation used in medical, aerospace or automotive applications.
• Ability to work independently, organise own diary and operate remotely.
• Willingness to travel within the Midlands for client visits.
