Temporary Management Accountant – Office Based – £45k-£50k

About the role

This temporary Management Accountant role supports the finance function during a period of absence. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work on management reporting, month‑end accounting, budgeting and forecasting for UK and international operations, collaborating closely with finance, sales and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support production of monthly management accounts and reporting across multiple international entities.
• Prepare and post month‑end journals covering payroll, income, overheads and other costs.
• Maintain reconciliations and supporting schedules to ensure complete and accurate financial information.
• Produce and review key financial and operational measures, highlighting significant movements and trends.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and analysis of actual performance against expectations.
• Liaise with finance colleagues in different locations to obtain information and resolve reporting queries.
• Work with sales and operational teams to provide clear financial information that supports business decisions.
• Monitor financial performance and provide relevant analysis to stakeholders.
• Contribute to improvements in finance processes, controls and reporting.
• Provide additional transactional and administrative support to the wider finance team when required.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or studying towards a recognised chartered accountancy qualification.
• Practical month‑end and management accounting experience.
• Strong double‑entry accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in a multi‑entity, international or multi‑currency environment is advantageous.
