Trauma Informed Lead

About the role
The College is seeking a Trauma Informed Lead to champion a college‑wide trauma‑informed practice programme. Working across multiple campuses, you will help create safe, inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver trauma‑informed awareness training to staff across the College.
- Facilitate specialist workshops, reflective practice sessions and development activities.
- Support the development of internal Trauma‑Informed Champions.
- Conduct campus reviews and environmental audits to identify barriers to inclusion.
- Collaborate with curriculum and quality teams to embed trauma‑informed principles into policies and processes.
- Gather feedback, evaluate impact and produce recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Build effective relationships with safeguarding, wellbeing, HR and student services teams.
Required profile
- Passionate about trauma‑informed practice, inclusion and student wellbeing.
- Strong communicator with experience delivering training or workshops.
- Background supporting young people, vulnerable adults or similar settings.
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing change.
- Organised, analytical and confident producing reports and recommendations.
- Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Required skills
What we offer
- Fixed‑term contract (Sept 2026 – Mar 2027) with 36.5 hours per week.
- Competitive hourly rate of £15.75‑£18.
- Opportunity to shape inclusive practice in a dynamic college environment.
