Upper KS2 Teacher – Year 5/6 (Full‑time Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Upper KS2 teacher to join schools in the North West from September 2026. The successful candidate will work with Year 5 or Year 6 classes, preparing pupils for SATs and supporting their transition to secondary education.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a Year 5 or Year 6 class.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons.
• Prepare pupils for SATs where appropriate.
• Use assessment data to identify and close learning gaps.
• Differentiate lessons effectively.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and attainment.
• Support pupils' independence and transition to secondary school.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent UK primary teaching experience.
• Strong experience in Year 5 and/or Year 6.
• Excellent knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum.
• Understanding of SATs and assessment processes.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• High expectations of pupil progress and behaviour.
