US Private Client Tax Senior – London

About the role

We are seeking a US Private Client Tax Senior to join our growing London US tax team. You will work with high‑net‑worth expatriate clients, ensuring compliance with IRS requirements and delivering expert tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private client tax engagements, meeting IRS and internal deadlines.
• Prepare and file US individual tax returns and related forms.
• Calculate tax liabilities, advise on payment dates, and handle quarterly estimated taxes.
• Respond to client queries and provide ad‑hoc tax advice with senior support.
• Bill clients for completed work and manage correspondence, calls, and meetings.
• Assist partners and senior staff on technical queries and advisory projects.
• Train and support junior team members.
• Handle IRS correspondence, phone calls, and enquiries.
• Provide general support to the US tax team as needed.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in US private client tax compliance.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Willingness to support and mentor junior staff.
