Used Car Sales Manager

About the role

Sytner Group is seeking a passionate Used Car Sales Manager to lead the used‑vehicle department at Sytner Select Northampton. In this full‑time position you will drive profitability, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and support the growth of the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the profitability of the used‑car department, meeting sales and margin targets.
• Recruit, train and monitor the performance of sales executives.
• Hold weekly sales meetings, provide mentoring and ongoing support to the team.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve customer retention and repeat business.
• Maintain compliance with dealership policies and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Sales Controller within the motor industry.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing retail sales teams.
• Ability to handle conflicting demands and drive performance improvements.
• High standards and a willingness to introduce innovative ideas.
