VAT Senior Manager – Hybrid, London

About the role

The firm’s UK VAT team is expanding and seeks a senior manager to join its London office. You will work closely with VAT unit partners and local office partners to deliver expert VAT advice to a diverse client base. The role also includes line‑management of a pre‑manager level VAT specialist and offers a clear path to director or partnership for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide VAT advice on corporate matters across various industries.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships as a key advisor.
• Offer technical VAT support to other service lines such as outsourced tax and accounting.
• Lead marketing and business development initiatives to raise the profile of the VAT practice.
• Manage and develop junior VAT staff, with potential recruitment as the business expands.

Required profile

• Experienced UK VAT generalist with strong technical knowledge of corporate VAT.
• Proven client‑facing experience and ability to develop relationships.
• Marketing and business development experience to promote VAT services.
• Leadership and people‑development skills, including managing junior staff.
• Experience across sectors such as property, construction, retail, manufacturing, tech & media is beneficial.
