Vice President – Credit Asset Management

About the role

We are looking for a Vice President to join Santander Alternative Investments’ Credit Asset Management team in London. Reporting to the Head of Credit Asset Management, you will support portfolio oversight, loan servicer management, reporting and the build‑out of our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Support credit asset management across mid‑to‑large ticket performing and high‑yield private real‑estate credit, including NPL and legacy exposures.
• Develop and maintain credit databases, loan tapes, dashboards and analysis tools to track loan‑level and portfolio performance.
• Calculate and monitor key loan and portfolio metrics such as LTV, LTC, DSCR, debt yield, interest cover and covenant compliance.
• Assist with assessment and management of under‑performing loans, including amendments, waivers, restructurings and workout strategies.
• Coordinate directly with third‑party loan servicers on administration, borrower communications, data quality and issue escalation.
• Prepare loan‑ and portfolio‑level analysis for monthly and quarterly reporting and management updates.

Required profile

• Institutional background in international real‑estate private credit, credit asset management or credit investing, preferably from a credit fund or alternatives platform.
• Experience designing, improving or implementing asset‑management processes, data, reporting controls and governance frameworks.
• Practical understanding of real‑estate private credit structures, covenants, amendments, waivers, restructurings and enforcement.
• Proactive, execution‑oriented mindset with the ability to identify gaps and drive work‑streams forward.
