Volunteer Trustee for Community Transport Charity

About the role
ECT Charity is seeking new trustees to represent the community and bring a variety of skills to the board. The charity provides community transport across Cheshire, Dorset and Ealing, delivering almost 401,000 passenger trips each year. Trustees help guide the organisation’s mission to support groups such as community minibuses, transport for children with special educational needs, and door‑to‑door services for older and disabled people. This is a volunteer position based in London.
Key responsibilities
- Provide governance, oversight and strategic direction for the charity.
- Support the leadership team and ensure the organisation remains solvent and well‑run.
- Participate in board meetings and contribute to long‑term planning.
Required profile
- Diverse community representatives with a commitment to volunteer time.
- Willingness to bring a range of skills, experience and ambitions to the board.
- Interest in supporting community transport initiatives and charitable objectives.
