Warehouse Operations Manager – Contract Logistics

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing contract logistics business, is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the Regional Distribution Site in Ashby‑de‑la‑Zouch. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will drive operational performance, safety, and profitability while guiding a high‑performing team through a period of transition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site‑wide warehousing and fulfilment operations, including cross‑functional support for specialist teams.
• Drive operational performance, safety standards, service quality and profitability.
• Develop, motivate and manage a high‑performing team, fostering talent and decision‑making capability.
• Deliver process improvements and embed operational best practices.
• Align site activities with overall business strategy and commercial objectives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of leadership experience in logistics and distribution.
• Proven track record of scaling operations and leading change.
• Commercial mindset with ability to deliver cost efficiencies without compromising service.
• Strong people‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to interact with senior managers and provide regular updates and reports to customers.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive base salary of £50,000‑£52,000 per year.
• Preferred working pattern: Monday‑Friday, day shifts.
