Warehouse Operative & FLT Driver - Counterbalance

About the role

The Warehouse Operative & FLT Driver ensures a smooth flow of goods from receipt through storage to dispatch, maintaining safety, timing and quality standards. The role involves receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing and supporting production needs in a busy warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from lorries and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operate counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks in line with safety procedures.
• Pick pallets from racking and prepare orders accurately for internal use, customer collection and dispatch.
• Pack, label and prepare goods for shipment, ensuring correct documentation.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing goods against delivery notes and quality standards.
• Manage stock control, recording movements and maintaining accurate inventory in the ERP system.
• Allocate and store goods efficiently to support production and maintain warehouse flow.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, safe and well‑organised warehouse.
• Support shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate dispatch and receipt.
• Use computer systems to process orders, generate labels and update records.
• Provide general warehouse support, including kit picking for workshops and field teams.

Required profile

• Valid external Counterbalance FLT licence is essential.
• Immediate start availability.
• Willingness to work 8:30 am‑5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday.
